Job summary

RINA is seeking an experienced Marshalling Yard Quality Inspector – Offshore Wind / Structural Fabrication to perform inspection activities in the Netherlands. The role requires involvement in structural/fabrication inspection, welding/NDT oversight, coating inspection, dimensional checks and ITP surveillance.

Freelance or agency-based engagement is acceptable, with invoicing capabilities. Location is the Netherlands; candidates must be resident in the Netherlands and available for ad hoc

Qualifications

• GWO Wind Safety certificate required; CSWIP 3.2 and AWS SCWI or equivalent; PCN Level II NDT or equivalent; FROSIO/NACE coating inspection or equivalent.
• Structural/mechanical HNC/HND or relevant craft qualification.
• Experience with offshore wind foundations, monopiles and/or transition pieces.
• Experience working to DNV/NORSOK standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural/fabrication work, welding/NDT oversight, coating inspection, and dimensional checks.
• ITP surveillance and quality reporting for offshore projects.
• Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and communicate with clients as needed.

RINA is looking for experienced Marshalling Yard Quality Inspector – Offshore Wind / Structural Fabrication to perform inspection activities on behalf of RINA for our esteemed clients in the Netherlands

Requested:

• GWO Wind Safety / Basic Safety Training certificate + CSWIP 3.2 / AWS SCWI or equivalent + PCN Level II NDT or equivalent + FROSIO / NACE coating inspection or equivalent + Structural/mechanical HNC/HND or relevant craft qualification + Experience with offshore wind foundations, monopiles and/or transition pieces + Experience working to DNV / NORSOK standards
• Mechanical Degree ( Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering or graduate from high school in relevant branches)
• Experience as an Offshore Inspector (min. 3 years); Inspectors should have inspection experience at the vendor’s premises. Experience may cover daily inspections or short term/long term project inspections on behalf of clients or third party inspections;
• Ability to prepare daily/weekly inspection reports;
• Adequate level of English for reporting, understanding international standards/codes, and communicating with clients in case of need;
• Being a freelancer inspector or part of inspectors agency/society, the inspector or the company should be able to invoice the service;
• The scope includes structural/fabrication inspection, welding/NDT oversight, coating inspection, dimensional checks, ITP surveillance and quality reporting.
