Job summary

Lion Marine Group is seeking a Sales Engineer to blend technical know-how with commercial insight. You will engage customers, assess needs, and tailor engineering solutions for maritime, offshore, port, and terminal projects.

In this role you’ll deliver presentations, build relationships with distributors, and collaborate with engineering teams to win contracts while traveling to client sites and events. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or Business with a strong technical background.
• Experience in technical sales, business development, or customer-facing engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of engineering products and solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate technical specifications into commercial benefits for customers.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within maritime, offshore, port, and terminal industries.
• Provide technical expertise to customers, ensuring they understand benefits and applications of our products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and partners.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to deliver tailored solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing to maximize sales and profitability.
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities and improvements.
• Represent Lion Marine Group at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
