Job summary

Tecwave B.V. is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop and implement automated shipboard systems.

You will translate complex process needs into reliable control solutions and collaborate with multiple technical disciplines in a model‑based engineering environment. Requirements include at least 2 years in designing PLC/SCADA systems, MBSE and the V‑model, a degree in Technical Automation or Electrical Engineering, strong English (Dutch preferred), good references, and eligibility for

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in designing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA).
• MBSE knowledge and working according to the V-model.
• Completed higher professional or university education in Technical Automation or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Drafting functional descriptions and technical documentation for automatic ship systems.
• Drafting and maintaining specifications for components and installations.
• Drafting test plans (FAT, HAT, SAT) and performing validations.
• Managing suppliers and evaluating their technical input.
• Developing standards and procedures for engineering and commissioning.
• Providing support for quotations and drafting conceptual automation designs.
• Providing technical guidance during commissioning phases.
