Job summary

Tecwave B.V. is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to realize advanced automated systems on board naval ships.

You will develop concepts and ensure compliance with international regulations in a model-based MBSE environment, covering design, validation and commissioning until the vessel leaves port operational. The role requires at least 5 years in automation design (PLC/SCADA), MBSE/V-model experience, and a university or higher professional degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of experience in designing and installing complex automation systems (PLC/SCADA).
• Experience with MBSE and V-model in complex projects.
• Higher professional or university education in Industrial Automation or related field.
• EU nationality and willingness to undergo security screening.
• Ability to work with suppliers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Drafting functional descriptions and basic designs for automation processes on board.
• Drafting and maintaining specifications for automation components and installation procedures.
• Writing test and validation plans (simulations, FAT, HAT, SAT).
• Managing suppliers and subcontractors and monitoring their input.
• Reviewing external designs and integrating them into the ship design.
• Developing standards and methods for detailed engineering and commissioning.
• Providing input during the quotation phase and drafting conceptual automation solutions.
• Providing technical support during commissioning and start-up on site.
