Job summary

Praxis Automation Technology BV in the Netherlands seeks a Sales Engineer / Proposal Engineer to drive the sales process for ship automation, navigation and hybrid propulsion systems. You translate client requirements into optimized proposals, advising technically and commercially, with onboarding support from multiple departments.

The role involves interfacing between customers and operations, following up quotations, handling contract queries and guiding projects from order to handover.

Qualifications

Relevant study and/or work experience
Experience in shipbuilding, shipping, automation or electric installations
Clear English communication (spoken and written)
Pro-active, self-starting attitude
Think from the customer perspective
Service-minded and flexible
Structured working approach

Responsibilities

Translate client requirements into optimized ship automation, navigation and hybrid propulsion proposals
Advise customers technically and commercially
Clarify technical requirements with clients and fine-tune hardware, software, cost and logistics
Intermediary between customer and internal departments
Prepare and follow up quotations and manage project orders
Maintain up-to-date commercial documentation
