Job summary

HR ProjectPartners BV seeks a Marine Systems Engineer to act as an independent technical specialist within multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to offshore and marine project delivery.

You will develop high-quality marine systems designs for floating production assets across conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design, with opportunities for international assignments on project sites or fabrication yards.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Marine/Mechanical/Process Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in marine systems engineering and design.
• Experience with FEED, Pre-FEED, and detailed design phases.
• Knowledge of LNG systems and LNG carrier operations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with classification society rules (ABS, DNV, BV, LR) and international standards.
• Strong interfaces with Naval Architecture, Electrical & Instrumentation, Piping, HVAC, Process and Safety.
• Experience with safety and risk assessment methodologies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA).

Responsibilities

• Develop marine systems designs across the full project lifecycle (conceptual to detailed design).
• Work on floating offshore units (FPSOs, FSOs, LNG carriers) and related assets.
• Collaborate with Naval Architecture, Electrical & Instrumentation, Piping, HVAC, Process, and Safety teams.
• Engage with shipyards, offshore operators, and equipment suppliers as needed.
• Travel for short- or long-term international assignments when required.
