Job summary

Maintec is seeking a Marine Plumber to install, assemble, and maintain sanitary and water systems onboard vessels. You will work with fresh water, wastewater, drainage, and related piping, reading technical drawings and piping layouts with precision.

A driving licence and EU citizenship are mandatory, with strong emphasis on safety and quality in confined shipboard spaces. We offer a full-time contract in the Netherlands, long-term opportunities, weekly pay, and accommodation plus transport

Job description

As a Marine Plumber, you will install, assemble, and maintain sanitary and water systems onboard vessels. You will work with piping for fresh water, wastewater, drainage, and other sanitary installations. The role requires accurate fitting, technical understanding, and the ability to work safely in limited technical spaces. Marine installation work of this type includes water, plumbing, sanitary, and sewage piping systems. Main Responsibilities

• Installing and assembling sanitary and water piping systems onboard vessels
• Installing fresh-water, wastewater, drainage, and sewage systems
• Reading and working from technical drawings and piping layouts
• Measuring, cutting, fitting, and connecting pipes accurately
• Installing valves, fittings, sanitary equipment, and related components
• Checking installations for correct alignment, connections, and leaks
• Working safely in technical and confined spaces onboard vessels
• Following shipyard safety procedures and quality requirements

• Around 3 years of experience as a Plumber in naval or shipyard environments (mandatory)
• Experience with sanitary, fresh-water, wastewater, and drainage systems
• Experience installing and assembling piping systems onboard vessels
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and piping layouts
• Experience measuring, cutting, fitting, and connecting pipes
• Good knowledge of valves, fittings, and sanitary installations
• Comfortable working onboard vessels and in confined technical spaces
• Driving licence category B
• Communicative English at B1/B2 level
• Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a team
• European Union citizenship (mandatory)

• Gross hourly wage between €17.00 – €22.00, depending on experience
• Net weekly salary between €550 – €650, based on a 40-hour working week
• Full-time contract with long-term opportunities

• Weekly payment, including pension accrual from day one
• 25 vacation days per year (20 paid vacation days + 5 paid weekly with salary)
• 8% holiday allowance paid weekly with salary
