As a Marine Mechanical Engineer, you take ownership of the repair, maintenance and upgrade activities of assigned offshore vessels. You coordinate dockings, manage mechanical scopes, and ensure assets remain compliant, reliable and ready for operation.
Working closely with superintendents, crews, yards, and suppliers, you translate technical plans into safe and efficient execution while driving continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives across the fleet.
What you’ll do
- Plan and supervise repair & maintenance (R&M) activities for assigned vessels
- Manage dockings, modifications and investment projects, including scope, budget and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with class, flag state and IMO requirements
- Coordinate with crews, shipyards, service providers and surveyors
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and asset histories
- Propose mechanical improvements and efficiency-enhancing upgrades
What you bring
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in offshore, shipbuilding, dredging or marine construction
- Knowledge of class rules and international maritime regulations
- Hands‑on mindset with strong planning and coordination skills
- Fluent English and willingness to travel (~20%)
