Post & Co, a Rotterdam-based marine liability specialist, seeks an experienced Claims Handler to manage a varied portfolio of international marine claims with direct contact to clients and specialists worldwide. Qualifications

• Several years of relevant professional experience in claims handling, insurance, law, marine insurance or as a marine surveyor.
• Ability to analyse complex situations and take ownership of cases.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• As an all-round Claims Handler, manage a varied portfolio of often complex marine claims arising from contractual and/or legal liabilities.
• Your clients operate in shipping, offshore, fisheries, inland shipping and the luxury yacht sector.
• Communicate internationally with clients, insurance brokers, P&I Clubs, insurers, lawyers, surveyors, experts and other parties involved in a claim.
• Understand what has happened, assess the situation and help your client navigate the claim from start to finish with sound judgement and clear communication.
• No two files are exactly the same – and that is precisely what makes the role interesting.
