Job summary

SII Netherlands seeks Manufacturing Engineers to translate design information into detailed work instructions for aircraft wiring harness production. You will work with senior and principal engineers, configuration managers, and quality teams to ensure smooth daily operations and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include creating work packages, defining materials and tooling, managing changes, coordinating FAIs, and guiding production teams across locations.

Qualifications

  • HBO in (electrical) engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial technology.
  • Dutch nationality is mandatory.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Solution-oriented and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed work packages and instructions, including operation sequences, processing times, and quality assurance steps.
  • Define and document required materials and tooling, and ensure their proper registration in the ERP system.
  • Enter, update, and manage changes in product and process instructions.
  • Prepare and coordinate First Article Inspections (FAIs) and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support production teams—both locally and in foreign branches—by providing technical guidance and practical solutions to early-stage production issues.
  • Analyze recurring production challenges, identify root causes, and implement or propose structural improvements to products and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with different production departments (value streams) to drive continuous improvement and achieve technical and operational goals.
  • Provide logistical material overviews and contribute to efficient material planning and availability.

Job description

We are looking for Manufacturing Engineers. You will collaborate with Senior Manufacturing Engineers, Principal Manufacturing Engineers, Configuration Managers, and Quality Engineers.
