Job summary

Wannaflex is seeking a Delivery Director to own scope, time and budgets for six development teams across Europe, reporting to the Head of Technology. You will manage external suppliers, vendors, contracts and invoicing while steering teams through product owners and the Agile Lead.

You own budget and forecast on projects, keep platforms running, and shape the domain delivery with strong stakeholder negotiation. This role offers hybrid work and clear path to permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience managing external suppliers, teams and partners, including delivery ownership, contracts and invoicing.
• Budget and forecast responsibility.
• Proficiency in both classic IT processes and agile delivery.
• Senior enough to challenge a Tech Lead and an Architect without building yourself.
• Three days a week on site.
• Dutch and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery: scope, time and budget. Quality and code sit with the Tech Lead, so you run that side together.
• Steer the six teams through their product owners and the Agile Lead.
• Manage partners and vendors, from negotiation through to invoicing, about 1.5 days per week.
• Own budget and forecast on projects and run costs; keep the platform running while it develops.
• There is room to shape this role. Negotiate with suppliers, decide on teams, set delivery direction.

Introduction

This is a delivery role in an organisation that moves fast and asks a lot. You run six development teams that are not your own, your stakeholders sit in marketing while you report into technology, and you get things done through relationships rather than authority. It suits someone who would rather fix something than present about it.

Organization

You will be working for an international retailer with a strong brand and a large European operation. The technology organisation supports the whole of Europe and is growing fast.

Your domain is where brand, campaigns, websites, apps and store experience come together. Six teams, around forty people, all delivered by external partners. You report to the Head of Technology and sit in the management team alongside the Tech Lead and the Domain Architect.

Function

You own delivery: scope, time and budget. Quality and code sit with the Tech Lead, so you run that side together.

You steer the six teams through their product owners and the Agile Lead. You manage the partners and vendors, from negotiation through to invoicing, which takes roughly a day and a half a week. You own budget and forecast on project and run costs, and you keep the platform running while it keeps developing.

There is room to shape this role. You have the mandate to negotiate with suppliers, decide on your teams and set the direction for how the domain delivers. Plenty of moving parts, and plenty of space to make it your own.
