Job summary

Nouryon is seeking an experienced Manager International Logistics Europe to lead and optimize our Ocean and Air logistics across Europe. You will head two teams in Amsterdam, NL and Goteborg, Sweden, guiding ~30 colleagues and reporting to the Europe Logistics Hub Manager.

This role focuses on performance, cost-effective solutions, and cross-functional coordination. Ideal candidates have a logistics-related degree, 7+ years in international logistics, and a proven leadership record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business or a related field.
• 7+ years of international logistics experience.
• Experience in managing teams.
• Knowledge of international shipping requirements, customs procedures and logistics service provider management.
• Fluency in English; other European languages are an advantage.

• Drive logistics performance and efficiency across Europe, including planning, executing and monitoring transportation for Ocean & Air.
• Lead, coaching and developing a supervisor and two logistics managers, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Managing relationships and contracts with logistics service providers and carriers, including tendering, negotiation and performance reviews.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across supply chain, operations, manufacturing, customer service, commercial and procurement to deliver reliable and cost-effective logistics solutions.

About the job

As Manager International Logistics Europe, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing Nouryon's international Ocean and Air logistics flows. You will lead the strategy, execution and continuous improvement of our European transport and distribution activities, working closely with senior leaders, our manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams across the organization. The Manager International Logistics Europe will lead two teams based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Goteborg, Sweden. The team will consist of approximately 30 people and will have 3 direct reports. This role will report to the Europe Logistics Hub Manager.

In your future role as Manager International Logistics Europe, you will

• Drive logistics performance and efficiency across Europe, including:
• Responsibility for planning, executing, and monitoring transportation for International Modality (Ocean & Air), ensuring adherence to processes and compliance with Nouryon policies and procedures.
• Leading, coaching and developing a supervisor and two logistics manager, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Managing relationships and contracts with logistics service providers and carriers, including tendering, negotiation and performance reviews.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across supply chain, operations, manufacturing, customer service, commercial and procurement to deliver reliable and cost-effective logistics solutions.

We believe you bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant working experience in international logistics, preferably in the chemical or another industrial environment.
• Experience in managing teams.
• Knowledge of international shipping requirements, customs procedures and logistics service provider management.
• Fluency in English; other European languages are an advantage.
