Job summary

Maersk's modern cold storage warehouse in Maasvlakte is seeking an All-Round Maintenance Technician to carry out maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, installations, and building systems.

You will perform planned preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, inspect equipment, coordinate external service providers, and help maintain a safe, food-safe environment. English required; Dutch a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical or equivalent education with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or similar technical environments.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems practically.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Safety-focused mindset.
• English communication; Dutch a plus.

Keep Our Warehouse Running

Are you someone who enjoys solving technical issues, fixing things, and keeping equipment in top condition? Join our team at Maersk's modern cold storage warehouse in Maasvlakte and play a key role in ensuring our operation runs safely and efficiently every day.

As an All-Round Maintenance Technician, you'll carry out maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, technical installations, and building systems. No two days are the same, and you'll work closely with colleagues and specialist contractors to keep the site operating smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on equipment and installations.
• Troubleshoot and repair technical faults and breakdowns.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance activities.
• Support and coordinate external service providers working on site.
• Help maintain a safe working environment and follow food safety standards.
• Participate in an on-call rota when required.

What We're Looking For

• Technical education (MBO level or equivalent) or relevant technical work experience.
• Experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or a similar technical environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems practically.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Safety-focused mindset.
• Able to communicate in English, Dutch is a plus

Nice To Have (Not Essential)

• NEN 3140 certification.
• VCA certification.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience using maintenance systems such as SAP PM or Ultimo.
• BHV certification.
• Forklift or MEWP licence.
