Maintenance Technician

Do you know a technical solution for everything? UPS is looking for a maintenance technician for the technical department responsible for Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) in our brand new facility in Eindhoven. Together with the team you ensure the highest maintenance standards for our systems and working environment.
What You’ll Do
- Maintenance of building and sorting systems, mechanical and electric.
- Keep the reliability at highest level, minimize downtimes and ensure a safe work environment within the UPS buildings.
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
- Performing preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.
- Keep track of inventory of spare parts.
- Work closely with team members and subcontractors to ensure the highest level of service for (internal) customers.
- Ensure service is maintained within specified deadlines.
Important Note
This job is in 4 shifts, each shift lasts for two weeks. The shift times rotate as follows:
- Nightshift: 2130-0630
- Evening shift: 1300-2200
- Day shift (maintenance): 0800-1700
- Morning shift: 0600-1500

What You’ll Need
- MBO or HBO in electrical/mechanical/mechatronics or comparable fields.
- Knowledge and experience in maintenance of conveyor systems.
- Ability to manage difficult situations and work effectively under pressure.
- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
- A real troubleshooter and see challenge in every technical problem.
- Flexible and willing to work in shifts (day, night and morning).
- Ambitious, motivated and a real go-getter.
- Obligation to obtain a valid VGB and BCC to be able to enter the DSA area and perform maintenance activities during the sort if required.
- Good communication skills in English (and Dutch is a plus).
