Job summary

Motus seeks an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain advanced machinery and automation systems at a customer site in the Netherlands. You will diagnose problems, repair equipment and help improve long-term performance while communicating with the customer about efficiency and reliability.

Job description

Motus is looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain advanced machinery and automation systems at a customer site in the Netherlands. You will combine mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with preventive maintenance to keep equipment reliable and minimise production downtime.

About the role

You will diagnose technical problems, carry out repairs and help improve the long-term performance of complex machinery. Working independently on site, you will address breakdowns while also identifying practical ways to prevent faults and improve maintenance.

Alongside your technical work, you will communicate with the customer about equipment performance and recommend improvements that support reliable production.

Your Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and industrial automation equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on site.
• Carry out corrective maintenance to restore equipment operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and quality.
• Advise customers on practical improvements to machine performance and maintenance.

Working hours

Shift work may be required, with an additional allowance when applicable. Regular overtime is not expected.

Your profile

• At least five years of hands-on experience servicing machinery, automation systems or industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to work independently and find practical solutions under time pressure.
• Good communication skills in English.
• A proactive, flexible approach and an interest in expanding your technical knowledge.
• A completed technical education in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field is an advantage.
