Job summary

Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam is offering a Maintenance Intern position where you will work with the Engineering team to gain hands-on experience across technical disciplines in a historic five-star hotel.

You must be actively enrolled in an educational institution and eager to learn, with a good command of English. The internship includes a monthly allowance of €750 gross, plus access to Minor Hotels University Northern Europe training and employee discounts across properties.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an educational institution.
• Interest in technical maintenance, engineering, or facility operations.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Enjoy solving technical challenges and practical solutions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Guest-oriented and calm under pressure.
• Flexibility in a dynamic hotel environment.
• Good command of English; Dutch or additional language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and supporting repairs.
• Help maintain equipment, installations, lighting, and sanitary facilities.
• Support preventive maintenance and regular inspections.
• Assist with kitchen equipment and technical installations.
• Gain experience with basic electrical tasks.
• Contribute to technical assignments in a historic hotel setting.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support operations.
