Job summary

Ambassade Hotel in Amsterdam is seeking a Maintenance Intern to support daily upkeep and to learn how technical operations are managed in a hospitality setting.

You will gain hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, safety checks, and collaboration with Housekeeping and Front Office, while developing practical skills in schedules, tools, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a technical or facility program.
• Affinity with maintenance, technology, and hands-on work.
• Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily maintenance and minor repair work in guest rooms and public areas.
• Assisting with preventive maintenance to ensure installations and equipment function properly.
• Supporting the team in identifying and solving technical issues.
• Helping with inspections and safety checks.
• Working closely with Housekeeping and Front Office to quickly resolve technical requests.
• Learning to work with maintenance schedules, tools, and basic technical documentation.

Job description

You will support the maintenance team in ensuring that the hotel remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for both guests and colleagues. During this internship, you will gain hands‑on experience in hotel maintenance and learn how technical operations are managed in a dynamic hospitality environment. Every day is different and brings new technical challenges.

Activities

As a Maintenance Intern at the Ambassade Group, you will be involved in a wide range of technical and maintenance activities, including:

• Performing daily maintenance and minor repair work in guest rooms and public areas
• Assisting with preventive maintenance to ensure all installations and equipment function properl
• Supporting the team in identifying and solving technical issues
• Helping with inspections and safety checks
• Working closely with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Front Office, to quickly resolve technical requests
• Learning to work with maintenance schedules, tools, and basic technical documentation
