Job summary

Medtronic plc in Heerlen is seeking a Maintenance & Facility Technician to manage end-to-end maintenance work, from requirements to planning, vendor coordination and execution. You will collaborate with Operations, EHS, and external providers to ensure reliable facilities and equipment in a regulated manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, strong planning abilities, and experience with ERP/CMMS. English and Dutch fluency is important; knowledge of German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices, pharma, food, or high-tech).
• Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and work preparation.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, calibration, and facility systems.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, CMMS, and digital documentation systems.
• Structured, result-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
• Affinity with automation, digitization and IT systems, using data to improve performance.
• Dynamic communicator, comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Good command of English and Dutch; German is a strong advantage.
• Good digital skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant facilities, machinery and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot, test, inspect and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment specs.
• Provide technical support to production and operations and ensure safe plant operations.
• Collect, maintain and analyse maintenance data and prepare reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance.
