Job summary

FMTC Safety group in Amsterdam seeks a proactive Maintenance Employee to keep our facilities, equipment and training resources ready for use. You will be an all-rounder who solves problems, works independently and supports the wider team.

With a hands-on role at our training center, you will perform repairs, routine inspections and PPE upkeep while ensuring safety and organization across classrooms and storage areas. Opportunity to travel to other FMTC locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a maintenance, facilities, technical, mechanical or similar role.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on attitude with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout the training center.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment and training areas.
• Prepare, inspect, clean and maintain PPE.
• Keep classrooms and training areas clean, safe and organized.
• Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry and mechanical repairs where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues.
• Monitor inventory and stock levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Assist with loading, unloading and transporting equipment and materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and maintenance standards.
• Support other FMTC locations when operational needs require.

Your Role as a Maintenance Employee

As a Maintenance Employee in Amsterdam, you are responsible for maintaining our facilities, equipment and training resources to the highest standards. You ensure that the training center is safe, clean, operational and ready for use at all times.

You are a true all‑rounder who enjoys solving problems, working independently and supporting the wider team wherever needed.

What Will You Do?

You will:

• Perform general maintenance and repair work throughout the training center

What Do You Bring?

• Proven experience in a maintenance, facilities, technical, mechanical or similar role
• Strong practical and problem‑solving skills
• A proactive, flexible and hands‑on attitude
• Good command of English
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver's license (required)
• Own vehicle and willingness to travel (required)
• Flexibility to support other FMTC locations when needed
• A positive team‑player mentality and strong sense of responsibility
