Durabel Recruitment B.V. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader for an international organisation in Horst.

You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, oversee safe, timely and efficient work, and participate in improving and modernising technical installations at a unique site. The role combines people management with hands-on technical tasks and offers scope for initiative and process improvement in a global context.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Team Leader or similar technical management role.
• Broad technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Experience in managing, supervising and coaching staff.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Job description

Are you an experienced Maintenance Team Leader with a technical background, who knows how to motivate a team whilst keeping a clear overview? We are looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Team Leader for an international organisation in Horst. In this varied role, you will lead a team of maintenance technicians and play an active part in maintaining, improving and modernising the technical installations at a unique location.

What are you going to do?

As Maintenance Team Leader, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and ensure that all maintenance work is carried out safely, efficiently and according to schedule. You will be responsible for both the day-to-day management of the team and for assisting with technical tasks yourself when necessary.

Your duties will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of maintenance technicians;
• Planning, coordinating and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance;
• Supervising maintenance, repair and renovation work on various buildings and technical installations;
• Actively contributing to improvement projects and technical optimisations;
• Ensuring safety, quality and compliance with procedures;
• Assisting with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry work;
• Identifying technical issues and implementing structural improvements;
• Collaborating with colleagues and other departments to ensure the continuity of the site.

Who are you?

• For biosafety reasons, you must not keep any rodents (mice, rats, guinea pigs) or animals that feed on rodents (such as snakes or birds of prey) as pets.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor, Head of Technical Services or a similar technical management role;
• A broad technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering;
• Experience in managing, supervising and coaching staff;
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills;
• A proactive and independent approach to work;
• A strong sense of responsibility for safety and quality;
• Good communication skills in Dutch, English or German;
• Category B driving licence and your own transport;
• Willingness to take part in an on-call rota (1 week in every 4 weeks).
