Job summary

VistaPrint Manufacturing seeks a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer for our Venlo site, onsite. You will drive planning, preparation, and execution of maintenance to maximize equipment availability and process safety, coordinating with the Maintenance Planner and Supervisors.

You will optimize the preventive maintenance program in Ultimo CMMS, lead integration of new equipment, and push technical improvements with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Mechatronics, mechanical, or electrical engineering degree (HBO level).
• Proven maintenance or reliability engineering experience.
• Fluent English and Dutch with strong communication across levels.
• Experience with CMMS software, preferably Ultimo.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the "planning, preparation, and execution" of maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability and process safety, in close collaboration with our Maintenance Planner and our Maintenance Supervisors.
• Optimize and manage the preventive maintenance program within our CMMS (Ultimo), ensuring all tasks add tangible value to operations.
• Lead the integration of new equipment into the CMMS, overseeing strict documentation, registration, and validation protocols.
• Proactively identify and implement technical improvements for machinery and tools, collaborating closely with external suppliers to request quotes and oversee execution.
• Analyze maintenance data to generate factual reports that drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Standardize work methods by documenting solutions and providing direct technical instructions to your colleagues in the Maintenance team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Production and Engineering teams to facilitate best practices in frameworks like VDM, TPM, and Lean Six Sigma.

• HBO-level degree or equivalent in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Professional experience in maintenance or reliability engineering
• Fluency in English and Dutch, with strong communication skills to collaborate across different organizational levels
• Experience working with CMMS software (ideally Ultimo)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Nice to Have

• Certification or practical experience in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
• Experience working within Value Driven Maintenance (VDM) or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) frameworks
• Advanced knowledge of Control Technology and Pneumatics
• Experience working in a large-scale (30,000+ m2) automated production facility
• Qualified to take on the role of Installatieverantwoordelijke (NEN 3140)
• Deep knowledge of NEN 1010
