Job summary

Corendon is recruiting for a Public Area Stylist at W Amsterdam, a role within the Style Team, responsible for maintaining the luxurious environment and ensuring guest satisfaction.

You will supervise day-to-day operations at the W Lounge and related areas, collaborate with other departments, and coach the team to deliver exceptional service in a high-energy setting near Dam Square. A strong guest-centric approach is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the same or similar role.
• Fluency in English.
• Dutch and any other language is appreciated.
• Preferably experience in working in nightlife venues (bars/lounges).
• Work Permit for The Netherlands is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the W Lounge and bar, In Room Dining and Banqueting to ensure guests receive luxury service.
• Ensure smooth communication with other departments and foster a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck attitude.
• Be the expert on operations and hotel happenings to answer questions and guide guests.
• Manage administrative duties alongside operations (scheduling, stock counts, etc.).
• Lead HR-related tasks (appraisals, performance reviews, coaching).
• Motivate the team to deliver outstanding performance and enforce discipline when needed.
• Ensure service standards and SOPs are followed from order to interaction.
• Deliver Whatever/Whenever service and personalize guest experiences.
• Maintain a clean, sparkling environment on the floor.
• Weekends, evenings, and nights are busiest; adapt to the pace.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with music; embrace the energy.
• Put guests at the center and handle any unlisted tasks to create memorable experiences.
