Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Amsterdam is seeking a Steward to join our luxury hotel team. You will wash hotel china, silverware, glassware and cookware, ensure cleanliness of all dining service pieces, and support the smooth operation of culinary areas within our iconic property.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a similar role, hotel experience preferred, fluent English and the stamina to stand, lift and move heavy items. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
• Hotel experience strongly preferred.
• Spoken and reading proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Washing hotel china, silverware, glassware, service ware, and cookware.
• Maintaining cleanliness of culinary equipment and related items.
• Sorting of food and beverage waste into proper streams for disposal and recycling.
• Transporting dishes, glasses, silverware, and serving pieces throughout the hotel as instructed.
• Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation rules.
