Job summary

Aesop is seeking a Retail Consultant for our Signature Store in Amsterdam. You will be the face of Aesop, delivering a personalized and memorable shopping experience by combining expert product knowledge with genuine curiosity and attentive consultation.

In this role, you will drive commercial success while maintaining operational excellence, through meaningful conversations and long-term brand relationships with our diverse customer base. Dutch language is a plus; English required.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in premium, luxury, beauty or hospitality environments.
• Strong customer service and sales skills with ability to build trust and create long-term relationships.
• Dutch language is a plus; good command of English required; additional languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience & Sales Excellence: welcome customers with warmth and professionalism, delivering thoughtful service.
• Expert Advice: conduct personalized consultations across skincare, body care, and fragrance to tailor routines.
• Retail Performance: contribute to store KPIs through authentic engagement and product recommendations.
• Brand Storytelling: share the philosophy and qualities of Aesop formulations to bring the brand to life.
• Operational & Retail Management: maintain visual merchandising standards and organized environment.
• Stock Management: assist replenishment, inventory, delivery processing, and stock accuracy.
• Tester & Hygiene Standards: uphold cleanliness and hygiene for products and spaces.
