Job summary

Amgen Breda leads the labeling, assembly, storage and distribution of medicines and clinical research activities for multiple countries. The Senior Manager Local Study Operations will guide LSOMs, ensure timely, within-budget trials, and collaborate with global and local stakeholders to support Amgen’s clinical development strategy.

The role requires a clinical-operations background, ~7 years of leadership, and fluency in English and Dutch, with monthly presence in Breda.

Qualifications

• Degree educated with significant clinical operations experience.
• Around 7 years of leadership in clinical research settings.
• Experience delivering clinical trials in biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO.
• Experience overseeing Netherlands clinical operations and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing clinical research suppliers (CROs, labs, imaging).
• Strong knowledge of global clinical trial operations.
• Ability to manage resources, budgets, timelines and metrics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluency in English and Dutch.
• Monthly presence in Breda office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop LSOMs to deliver country clinical trial portfolio.
• Oversee study execution, portfolio performance, resource planning, and quality.
• Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to support development strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.
• Ensure studies are on time, within scope and budget.
• Monitor portfolio performance and address risks and quality trends.
• Manage LSOM and supplier performance to ensure high-quality execution.
• Plan resources and workloads across FTE and FSP teams.
• Align study strategy with Country‑Hub Head and cross-functional partners.
