Job summary

PUM is seeking a Programme Manager for the Food programme to lead the animal husbandry portfolio and translate client needs into actionable proposals. You will collaborate with in-country managers to build a diverse expert network and deliver high-impact projects across value chains.

With a Dutch-English bilingual background and a decade of experience in animal husbandry and programme leadership, you will guide strategy, fundraising, and partnerships while ensuring compliance and sustainable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required; working and thinking level.
• 10 years of experience in animal husbandry with a Netherlands network; strategy & business planning
• Background in programme management and team leadership; volunteers a plus.
• Understanding SMEs and smallholder farmers’ realities across diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate client requests into actionable project proposals and ensure strong match with expert skills.
• Develop and guide programme plans to strengthen animal husbandry and value chains.
• Identify, develop and secure funding opportunities from donors, foundations and corporate partners.
• Monitor developments, anticipate demand, and position experts accordingly.
• Coordinate project planning and data to support efficient delivery; ensure compliance and inclusivity.
