We’re building a world-class team to redefine knowledge work with AI
Zeno is a legal AI startup building a platform that helps lawyers, notaries and other legal professionals research, review, and draft documents with real legal reasoning — not just text prediction. We’re developing technology that can:
Where most tools automate surface-level tasks, we’re focused on replicating the way lawyers actually think through legal problems, making depth and trust the foundation of everything we build.
You’re joining an early-stage startup that is already working with leading firms. Backed with €3M in seed funding, we’re now scaling a team that wants to solve real problems, drive innovation, and create lasting change in the legal sector.
As a Legal & Partnerships Associate, you’ll be part of the Legal & Partnerships team and work closely with the Head of Legal & Partnerships to support Zeno’s growth in the Dutch market.
This role sits at the intersection of law, technology, and go-to-market. You’ll take ownership of a significant part of the day-to-day legal and commercial execution, working directly with law firms, notary firms and legal departments as they evaluate, adopt, and use Zeno.
It’s not a traditional sales role. Instead, it’s designed for a former lawyer or notary who combines strong legal judgment with commercial intuition, and who enjoys working with clients, products, and partnerships in a fast-moving environment.
Within clear legal and commercial frameworks, you’ll operate independently on client-facing work such as first conversations, onboardings, and relationship management,, while escalating more complex or strategic matters when needed.
As Zeno expands into new legal domains and international markets, this role is expected to grow in scope, offering increasing responsibility across legal work, partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives.
What you’ll be doing
In practice, your responsibilities will include:
By taking on these responsibilities, you will free up senior team members to focus on higher-level coordination, strategy, and cross-market expansion.
How this role can grow
This role is designed to scale. As Zeno grows, your responsibilities may expand into areas such as:
We believe credibility and legal understanding are essential in this market, and we deliberately build our commercial approach around legal professionals with strong commercial instincts, rather than traditional sales profiles.
The ride from startup to scale-up
Things will break, priorities will shift, and there won’t always be a playbook. You’ll wear multiple hats, ship fast, and learn faster. Some weeks will feel chaotic, some problems will feel bigger than your role. That’s the nature of the ride from startup to scale-up: if you need stability and structure, this won’t fit. But if you thrive on ownership, speed, and building from zero, you’ll love it here.
