Job summary

Vistra is seeking a Legal Officer to join the Corporate Services team in Amsterdam. You will support a portfolio of international corporate clients, work with experienced colleagues, and gain practical exposure to Dutch corporate law and governance.

Recent graduates or those with early legal experience are welcome; a willingness to learn, attention to detail and proactive attitude are valued. English communication is important, with French a plus.

Qualifications

• HBO degree in Law or university degree in Law.
• Good communication in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and review of corporate legal documents (board/shareholder resolutions, agreements, powers of attorney).
• Support day-to-day legal and corporate administration for Dutch and Belgium entities.
• Maintain accurate corporate records and client files.
• Assist with corporate transactions, restructurings and related matters under guidance.
• Coordinate with clients, notaries, legal advisers and accountants.
• Support compliance and client review processes.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure corporate obligations are met.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Legal Officer to join our Corporate Services team in Amsterdam.

Whether you have recently graduated, already gained some legal experience or simply have a strong affinity with law and corporate services, this could be the opportunity for you.

You don't need to be an expert in Dutch corporate law or have years of experience. What matters most to us is your willingness to learn, your attention to detail and your enthusiasm to develop yourself.

What will you be doing?

As a Legal Officer, you will become part of a friendly and collaborative team supporting a diverse portfolio of international corporate clients.

You will work closely with experienced Legal Officers, Legal Services Lawyers, Relationship Managers and financial colleagues, gaining practical experience in Dutch corporate law, corporate governance and international business.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and review of corporate legal documents, such as board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, agreements and powers of attorney.
• Supporting the day-to‑day legal and corporate administration of Dutch and Belgium client entities.
• Helping maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records and client files.
• Assisting with corporate transactions, restructurings and other legal matters under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
• Coordinating with clients, notaries, legal advisors, accountants and other stakeholders.
• Supporting compliance and client review processes.
• Monitoring relevant deadlines and helping ensure that corporate obligations are met.
• Working together with colleagues to provide excellent service to our international clients.

As you gain experience and confidence, you will gradually take on more responsibility and develop your own areas of expertise.

Who are we looking for?

We are not looking for someone who ticks every box. We are looking for someone with the right mindset, a genuine interest in law and the motivation to grow.

You might be a great fit if you:

• Have completed an HBO degree in Law (HBO-Rechten), a university degree in Law or a comparable educational background.
• Have an affinity with Dutch corporate law, corporate services or international business.
• Are organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a team.
• Have good communication skills and are comfortable working in English (French is a pre).
• Have a proactive attitude and are not afraid to ask questions or take initiative.
• Enjoy learning new things and developing your professional skills.
• Have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

Previous working experience is an advantage, but certainly not a requirement.

Knowledge of Dutch corporate law, particularly Book 2 of the Dutch Civil Code, is a plus. However, we are more than happy to help you develop this knowledge on the job.
