Job summary

Nedap, Groenlo, Netherlands, seeks a Legal Counsel to join its compact Legal & Compliance team. You will advise on commercial, legal and compliance matters, and negotiate SaaS, technology, distribution and hardware agreements.

You will operate at the intersection of law, business and technology, turning complex questions into clear choices and shaping processes with AI and Legal Tech while supporting Nedap’s international activities.

At Nedap, Legal & Compliance does more than tell the organisation what is and is not legally possible. We help the organisation make better decisions.

As Legal Counsel, you work at the intersection of law, business and technology. You are involved early on, explore the question behind the legal issue and turn complex topics into clear choices and workable solutions. This gives you a direct influence on decisions at Nedap and plenty of room to shape your role.

As Nedap grows as a Digital Twin Technology company and our international activities continue to develop, legal and commercial questions become more complex. Your role is to turn that complexity into choices colleagues can genuinely act on. You have the freedom to challenge existing ways of working, experiment and introduce better solutions.

Your responsibilities

• You give advise to business leaders and teams on commercial, legal and compliance matters;
• You will draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS, technology, distribution and hardware agreements;
• You give advise on strategic projects, transactions, governance and policy;
• You can translate recurring legal questions into standards, templates, playbooks and smarter processes;
• You use AI, Legal Tech and automation to organise legal work more intelligently and enable colleagues to work more independently;
• You build strong relationships across Nedap’s business units and international operations, bringing different interests together.

Your team

You will join a compact Legal & Compliance team. You report to the General Counsel and work closely with colleagues across Nedap, including business leaders and a range of expert teams.

We take our work seriously, while also keeping things in perspective. We work closely together, challenge each other constructively and aim to leave things better than we found them.

The salary range for this role is € 5.800,- to € 8.000 ,- gross per month, based on full-time employment (38 hours per week), depending on relevant knowledge and experience.
