Farmasi is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide practical, risk-based legal guidance across commercial, corporate, regulatory, and operational matters. The role collaborates with internal teams and external counsel to ensure compliance and enable business growth.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, advise on governance, regulatory compliance, and product claims, and monitor legal developments that affect multinational operations.

Qualifications

  • Law degree and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
  • 5–7 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate/commercial law.
  • In-house or advisory experience to commercial businesses is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal guidance on commercial, corporate, regulatory, and operational matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (supplier, distributor, service, licensing, confidentiality, customer contracts).
  • Support corporate governance, board resolutions, legal documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advise management on corporate, employment, IP, consumer law, and privacy issues.

Job description

The Legal Counsel will provide Legal advice and support to the business across a wide range of commercial, corporate, regulatory, and operational matters. This role helps protect the company’s legal interests while enabling business growth by providing practical, risk-based legal guidance. The Legal Counsel works closely with internal departments and external legal advisors to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including supplier, distributor, service, confidentiality, licensing, and customer contracts.
  • Provide legal advice to management and business teams on corporate, commercial, employment, intellectual property, consumer protection, and regulatory matters.
  • Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across all jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including preparation of board resolutions, corporate records, and legal documentation.
  • Assist with new market entries, business expansions, and cross-border legal projects.
  • Manage litigation, disputes, and claims by coordinating with external law firms and internal stakeholders.
  • Advise on marketing, advertising, product claims, privacy, and consumer law compliance.
  • Support intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and brand protection.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and communicate business impacts to management.
  • Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, and internal procedures.
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Deliver legal training and compliance awareness programs to employees when required.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel and control legal spending.
  • Track all active and pending lawsuits.
  • Track Brand and Patent disputes and monitor registration process.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) and admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
  • 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably including corporate or commercial law.
  • Experience working in-house or advising commercial businesses is preferred.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and sound professional judgment.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.

  • International commercial transactions.

  • Consumer products, cosmetics, nutrition supplements, manufacturing, retail, or direct selling industries.
