Job summary

Pentair plc is seeking a Site Lean Manager for the Venlo team to drive Lean transformation across the site. You will align with the Enterprise team, design and deliver training on Lean principles, and create value stream maps to identify waste and sustain improvements.

Qualifications

  • B.S in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles in a dedicated Lean role.
  • Managerial experience required.
  • Ability to read and communicate in country of residence.

Responsibilities

  • Align with the Enterprise team to ensure consistency of approach and adoption.
  • Plan, deliver, and train Lean principles using standard Pentair collateral.
  • Create value stream maps and identify eight types of waste; target future state delivery.
  • Set measurable SPQDCCP goals for Lean activities and deliverables.
  • Lead multidisciplinary Lean activities and sustain results.
  • Evaluate equipment automation to support Lean implementations.
  • Communicate plans and results to the company using PDCA.
  • Execute Lean strategy (Hoshin Kanri) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Promote Lean practices with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Facilitate Lean workshops and Kaizen events.
  • Participate in Enterprise-wide Lean events with partners.

We have an opportunity for a Lean Manager to join our Venlo team.

You will:
  • Align with the Enterprise team to ensure consistency of approach and adoption
  • Organize, plan, and deliver effective team training based on the Lean principles, methodologies, and concepts throughout the whole organization using the Standard Pentair training collateral
  • Create Value stream Maps; Current, future, and ideal states to assess operational current condition, inclusive of the identification of the eight types of waste as well as targeting future state delivery and sustainment year over year
  • Define measurable SPQDCCP goals and objectives for Lean activities with associated execution deliverables
  • Build and facilitate multidisciplinary short and long-term Lean activities
  • Implement and follow up Lean improvements, including the sustainment of results
  • Identify and evaluate equipment automation requirements to support Lean implementations
  • Communicate plans, actions, and results to the company (PDCA)
  • Execute company strategy (Hoshin Kanri) associated with implementation of lean systems, in a fast-paced environment
  • Promote and ensure Lean practices throughout company and external suppliers
  • Facilitate or support in facilitating workshops and Kaizen events
  • Participate in benchmark Enterprise-wide Lean events with sister and external companies
Key Qualifications:
  • B.S in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles in a dedicated Lean role while working in a project business or/and manufacturing environment, inclusive of; Experience working with the TPS / DBS principles
  • Managerial experience
  • Full ability to read and communicate in country of residence
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) within all organization levels
Key Competencies & Capabilities

Must have advanced knowledge of the Lean tools; Value Stream Mapping, Transactional Process Improvements and Process End-2-End Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Creating Continuous Flow, Root-Cause Problem Solving in production and office environments. Good analytical skills: 6 Sigma Master Black Belt / Black Belt level with the ability to Project manage would be a plus Demonstrate effective change management skills; Influencing, Communication, Change Management, Stakeholder Management Evidence of effective Coaching / Mentoring, Facilitation, and Presenting Ability to work at all levels of the organization

The role is part strategic (50%) and part hands on (50%). He/She must be able to work at both levels
