Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Lead Technician Utilities LIVE to ensure reliable operation of critical utility systems supporting manufacturing, warehousing and offices. You will lead technical teams, coordinate maintenance, and drive reliability in HVAC, boilers and building automation within a highly automated pharma facility.

The role emphasizes coaching, on-call rotation, GMP experience, and collaboration with facilities engineers, contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

MBO+/HBO-level education or equivalent technical experience.
Experience in utilities, facilities, maintenance, or industrial installations.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on mindset.
Experience coordinating maintenance activities, projects, contractors, or technical teams.
Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and support colleagues.
Good communication skills in English and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
Experience in a GMP environment and knowledge of SAP PM or CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities across utility systems and facility infrastructure.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to technicians and contractors.
Support troubleshooting of complex utility and facility‑related issues.
Work closely with Facilities & Engineering colleagues, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical challenges.
Drive reliability improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in the on‑call rotation supporting critical utility systems.
