Job summary

Mars Food & Nutrition in Oud-Beijerland seeks a Sustainability Packaging Developer to lead sustainable packaging initiatives across Europe and North America. You will direct development, validation, and implementation of packaging solutions focused on recyclability, recycled content, and regulatory compliance, partnering with suppliers, sites, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results. The role emphasizes technical leadership and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field related to packaging.
• Proven experience in packaging development or packaging engineering.
• Experience leading renovation and commercialization of packaging.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and recyclability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability-driven packaging development and renovation projects.
• Coordinate validation activities including testing and trials across sites.
• Engage co-manufacturers and suppliers to implement packaging solutions.
• Support regulatory compliance for packaging programs (PPWR, EPR, SB54).
• Act as packaging lead across projects with cross-functional teams to meet milestones.
