Job summary

Prodrive Technologies seeks an experienced Quality Engineer R&D to influence product quality from development through lifecycle of high-tech electronics, mechatronics, and related systems. You will build early quality risk pictures and collaborate across Engineering, Operations and Service to prevent issues.

You will facilitate DFMEA, translate customer requirements into CTQs, and drive lessons learned into new developments, ensuring traceability and robust quality across stages.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Physics or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality Engineering, Product Development or Systems Engineering in a high-tech environment.
• Experience with complex electronic, electromechanical or mechatronic products and the interaction between design, manufacturing, test and suppliers.
• Practical experience with DFMEA, structured risk assessment, requirements and critical-characteristic management.
• Experience with structured problem solving such as 8D, 5 Why and Ishikawa, and the ability to turn corrective-action learning into preventive improvements.
• Strong quality expertise combined with the ability to understand technical discussions, identify risks across interfaces and challenge constructively.

Responsibilities

• Perform and facilitate the initial Quality Risk Assessment and determine the required Quality involvement for development projects.
• Translate customer and system expectations into clear Customer Quality Requirements, CTQs/critical characteristics and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate and challenge DFMEA activities, ensuring design risks are identified and followed up while Engineering retains ownership of technical risk content and design actions.
• Bring Lessons Learned from customer complaints, 8Ds, supplier and internal non-conformities, production, repairs and field experience into new developments.
• Represent Quality throughout the Stage Gate process, ensuring traceability between requirements, design risks, verification activities and manufacturing controls, and escalating significant unresolved risks.
• Act as the Quality interface for selected customer/product accounts, including complaints, escalations, repairs/returns and corrective-action communication.
• Support Operations, Service, Supplier Quality and Industrialization when significant product-quality issues require development knowledge, structured problem solving or cross-functional coordination.
• Identify and drive structural quality improvements across products and projects, and coach teams in quality methods and a prevention-oriented mindset.
