Job summary

NRL is seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join our team on a major data centre development project in Amsterdam. Lead Planner

Job Title Lead Planner Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join our client on a major data centre development in Amsterdam. While the project is a data centre, we are specifically looking for someone with proven expertise in high‑rise building projects. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver a technically complex scheme whilst advancing your career with a leading international contractor.

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands – on‑site role

Client Overview: Our client is a globally recognised construction company with extensive experience in delivering large‑scale projects across multiple sectors, ensuring quality, safety and innovation at every stage.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor and manage project programmes from planning through construction.
  • Ensure schedules align with project requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Produce resource‑loaded programmes, scenario planning and recovery schedules as needed.
  • Track progress, highlight risks or delays and implement recovery actions.
  • Provide regular project reporting and dashboard updates for stakeholders.
  • Analyse the impact of design changes and support the change management process.
  • Engage collaboratively with internal teams, subcontractors and consultants.
  • Lead, mentor and support planning teams, driving consistency and best practice.
Must‑have Requirements
  • Extensive experience in planning and scheduling for high‑rise building projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction methods and project controls.
  • Proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Degree or equivalent in Construction, Engineering or related discipline.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Professional membership with APM, PMI or equivalent.
  • Experience integrating design, procurement and construction planning.
  • Knowledge of BIM integration and cost or risk management systems.
