Job summary

Skalar Analytical BV is seeking an experienced Team Lead Mechanical Engineering to drive the mechanical architecture of laboratory analyzers and to lead a growing engineering team. You will own mechanical design, DFx methodologies, and quality analyses, while collaborating across R&D, production and supply chain to deliver production-ready platforms.

You will mentor engineers, foster continuous improvement, and contribute to the technology roadmap in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in product development and mechanical design.
• Experience leading engineers or technical project teams.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, PLM, DFx methodologies and FMEA.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding, sheet metal design and machining.
• Affinitiy with mechatronics and systems development.
• Fluent Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical architecture of new analyzers and subsystems.
• Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions.
• Create and review 3D CAD designs, drawings and documentation.
• Apply DFx, FMEA, and other quality analyses.
• Support prototyping, testing, verification and validation.
