Job summary

Qabird seeks a Principal Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to interpret complex business issues and lead multidisciplinary teams on major oil & gas projects. You will apply in-depth I&C expertise to solve problems and drive design from concept through detailed execution.

This senior role requires 15–20 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (Master’s preferred), and strong leadership and communication skills for client and vendor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Master’s preferred.
• 15–20 years of oil & gas experience with major contractors or consultants.
• Registered Professional Engineer or professional society member preferred.
• Knowledge of design techniques, standards, codes, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design per basis and codes.
• Lead medium to large engineering teams as Lead Engineer, plan resources.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and procedures with clarity.
• Interface with disciplines and suppliers to develop clash-free designs and interfaces.
