Job summary

European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Lead Instrument End-to-End Data Chain Engineer for the Copernicus Sentinel-2 Next Generation missions based at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands. You will lead the design, development and verification of the instrument data chain from front-end electronics to control units, coordinating with D/TEC and project teams.

Qualifications

• Multidisciplinary knowledge in end-to-end data chain subsystems.
• Experience with onboard data acquisition, processing and control systems for optical space instruments.
• Background in interfacing subsystems within ESA project teams or industrial consortia.
• Familiarity with project risk management, costs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of end-to-end data chain hardware and software components.
• Coordinate design, verification, testing and integration of instrument subsystems.
• Monitor progress across teams and support risk mitigation and schedules.
• Collaborate with D/TEC and D/OPS for specialized support and AIV activities.
