Job summary

QCS Staffing in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced High Voltage Substation Primary Engineer to join a major project on a permanent basis. The role leads HV primary circuit engineering for AIS/GIS substations, from concept through construction support, affecting design decisions on a high-profile programme.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred) and be proficient in AutoCAD, PSCAD and ETAP, with strong project management skills for planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, PSCAD and ETAP.
• Strong knowledge of primary circuit and substation design principles.
• Excellent planning, budgeting and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for HV primary circuit engineering on substation projects (AIS/GIS).
• Develop and review HV primary circuit designs, including layouts and busbar configurations.
• Contribute to and review power system studies to ensure safe operation.
