Job summary

WACKER is seeking a GMP Automation & Process Engineer in Amsterdam to own software-controlled bioprocesses within a GMP manufacturing setting. You will manage automation lifecycle, change control, and continuous optimization of critical production processes.

The role interfaces with operations, engineering, validation, and quality to ensure compliant batch operations, equipment changes, and digital manufacturing strategies are implemented effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in a technical discipline relevant to GMP manufacturing.
• Extensive GMP-regulated experience in biopharma or biotech manufacturing.
• Experience with automation systems & lifecycle management in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Own GMP-critical automation software and ensure compliance throughout lifecycle.
• Support batch execution, cleaning, sterilization and changeovers per GMP.
• Lead automation projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, QA, validation and IT as automation SME.
