Job summary
Randstad is seeking an ELM & Automation Specialist in Leiden to manage the equipment lifecycle, support qualification/validation, and ensure data integrity across lab systems. The role collaborates with IT, QA, and vendors to maintain GMP-compliant data workflows and automate reporting.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years in a GxP/GMP environment, hands-on Waters Empower experience, and strong IT and networking basics. English fluency is essential; Dutch is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
- ~4 years of relevant experience in a GxP/GMP environment (Validation Engineer, Lab Automation Specialist, or Equipment Coordinator).
- Hands-on experience with Waters Empower preferred.
- Fluency in English; Dutch language desirable.
Responsibilities
- Link lab floor, IT, QA, and vendors to ensure equipment lifecycle and data workflows meet quality and compliance standards (GMP).
- Support equipment qualification/validation, preventive maintenance, and decommissioning with IT coordination.
- Maintain and support Empower data acquisition systems and other lab data tools (Chromaleon, Unifi, ICE3).
- Translate user requirements into DI-compliant specs and configure basic network/Windows firewall settings with IT.
- Set up automated Empower reports and support paperless lab initiatives.
