Job summary

NN Group, based in the Netherlands, seeks a Lead Future Ready Portfolio Management to drive NN Group’s Future Ready programme, ensuring strategic initiatives deliver value and stay on track. You will liaise with senior stakeholders to maintain alignment and governance across the transformation portfolio.

You will lead a small PMO team, shape change activities, and safeguard the business case, delivering on time and within budget while embedding the transformation across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Drive the group-wide portfolio management and PMO of NN Group’s Future Ready Programme, developing portfolio as a group-wide capability.
• Maintain a clear overview of the portfolio, monitor progress, dependencies, risks and budgets, and resolve impediments to stay on track.
• Lead preparation of board-level reporting and decision materials for MB and MB-1 stakeholders, translating portfolio dynamics into clear insights.
• Lead a small PMO team including a consultant, change and communication specialist, and Value Office specialist, coordinating reporting and engagement activities.
• Shape and drive change and communication activities to embed transformation across the organization and maintain momentum and transparency.
• Safeguard the overall business case of Future Ready, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and with expected value creation.

As Lead Future Ready Portfolio Management, you will drive the transformation portfolio and governance of NN Group’s Future Ready programme, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives deliver value and remain on track. In addition, you will contribute to further strengthen portfolio management as a capability within NN Group.

What you are going to do

• As Lead Future Ready Strategic Portfolio Management, you are responsible for driving the group-wide portfolio management and PMO of NN Group’s Future Ready Programme while helping further develop portfolio management as a group-wide capability
• You maintain a clear and up-to-date overview of the portfolio, actively monitoring progress, dependencies, risks and budgets. You identify deviations early, challenge where needed and drive timely resolution of impediments to keep the transformation on track. You work closely with programme and project leads across the organisation, ensuring strong alignment and consistency in execution
• You lead the preparation of board-level reporting and decision materials, translating complex portfolio dynamics into clear, concise and actionable insights for MB and MB-1 stakeholders. You are comfortable operating at this level, facilitating discussions, supporting decision-making and ensuring follow-up on agreed actions
• You also lead a small team with a PMO consultant, change and communication specialist and Value Office specialist, ensuring strong coordination across governance, financial and non-financial reporting and engagement activities
• In addition, you play a key role in shaping and driving change and communication activities, ensuring that the transformation is clearly understood, well-coordinated and effectively embedded across the organisation. You contribute to maintaining momentum, transparency and engagement throughout the programme
• You are responsible for safeguarding the overall business case of Future Ready, ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and in line with expected value creation

Who you are

• You have extensive experience leading portfolio management, PMO, or transformation delivery within a complex organization. You are highly structured and able to maintain oversight across multiple initiatives, while understanding the details when needed
• You bring strong stakeholder management skills and are comfortable engaging with senior leadership, including MB, MB-1 and MB-2 stakeholders. You communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, and are able to translate complexity into clear messages and decisions
• You are proactive and results-driven, with the ability to identify risks and issues early and drive resolution across organisational boundaries. You combine a strong sense of ownership with a collaborative mindset and are able to create alignment across diverse stakeholders
• You have experience with governance, reporting and business case tracking within large-scale transformation programmes, and understand the importance of change management and communication in driving successful execution
• You are fluent in Dutch and English and have a strong affinity with financial services, large-scale transformation and organisational change

Who you will work with

You will be part of the Strategy & Transformation Office (~10-15 fte) with two main capabilities: Portfolio Management (your role) and Strategy Consultancy Pool. Your role will have a position in the MT and reports directly to the Head of the Strategy & Transformation Office. The Strategy & Transformation Office has a direct reporting line to the CEO of NN Group.
