Job summary

IQVIA Amsterdam is seeking an experienced statistician to lead evidence synthesis projects within the Evidence Synthesis practice. You will guide complex research tasks, develop analysis protocols, and supervise junior team members while maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in consultancy or pharma settings, with strong Bayesian skills, R, and exposure to Stan or BUGS/JAGS. A Master’s degree is required; a PhD is desirable.

Qualifications

• Master’s in statistics/biostatistics or related field.
• PhD in health services research or statistics is desirable.
• 5+ years as a statistician in consultancy, CRO, pharma, or academia.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day evidence synthesis projects with junior team members.
• Develop SAPs and conduct meta-analyses and ITCs (frequentist or Bayesian).
• Provide technical and statistical leadership across projects.
• Edit and develop scripts; proficient in R and BUGS/JAGS; Stan desirable.
• Guide deliverables and ensure quality control of protocols and reports.
• Support business development and client relationships.
• Mentor junior statisticians and oversee project delivery teams.
