Job summary

Moonwatt is seeking a Firmware Engineer to design and validate embedded firmware for our Battery Management System (BMS). You will own architecture, mentor engineers, and work with hardware teammates to ensure robust, safe operation of battery systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in C/C++, RTOS platforms, and system-level integration, with opportunities to influence technical standards in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 15 years of embedded firmware experience in real-time, safety-critical systems.
• Proven expertise designing firmware architectures for complex embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience integrating firmware with hardware in energy storage or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead firmware design, development, and optimization for the Battery Management System (BMS).
• Architect scalable, modular firmware systems and define system-level requirements.
• Mentor team members and set technical standards for firmware design.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with MCU, sensors, and interfaces.
• Design and execute testing protocols to validate firmware reliability and safety.
• Diagnose hardware–firmware issues using oscilloscopes and debuggers.
• Document firmware architecture, code, and testing procedures.
