NXP Semiconductors in Eindhoven, Netherlands seeks a Principal Digital Design Engineer to lead a team developing in-vehicle networking transceivers. You will define architecture, optimize for area/power/timing, and collaborate with verification, DV and validation teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality automotive products.

The role focuses on SystemVerilog/Chisel implementation, functional safety, and mentoring junior engineers, with a permanent contract and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar.
• Proven track record leading digital design teams to meet design parameters.
• Experience in silicon design including synthesis, timing, and DFT.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of engineers to design, implement and support in-vehicle networking devices as part of NXP's Automotive product line
• Manage day-to-day performance of junior engineering team members
• Define block requirements and architecture, optimizing for area, power and timing, implementing functional safety requirements, and coordinating with verification and validation teams to comply with automotive design processes
• Documentation - Create robust design documentation to clearly communicate design intent to team members
• Implementation - Implement design intent in SystemVerilog or Chisel
• Collaboration - Work closely with Architecture, digital and analog design, DV and validation teams to ensure timely delivery of quality products
