Job summary

NXP Semiconductors Nijmegen is seeking a New College Graduate to join our RF-SoC Solutions team, developing advanced digital hardware for mixed-signal ICs used in automotive and industrial markets.

You will work alongside experienced engineers on RTL coding, FPGA development, and design verification, gaining hands-on exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor technologies while contributing to end-to-end product delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Academic or project experience in digital design, computer architecture, logic design, FPGA development, or related areas.
• Basic knowledge of hardware description languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Exposure to simulation, synthesis, FPGA, or other digital design tools through coursework, internships, research, or personal projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of digital hardware designs for integrated circuits and semiconductor products.
• Assist with RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, and basic timing analysis under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Help identify, debug, and resolve design issues throughout the development cycle.
• Collaborate with verification, architecture, and physical design teams to understand requirements and support project execution.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and reports summarizing design activities and results.
• Contribute to design quality, continuous learning, and the improvement of engineering methodologies and best practices.
