Job summary

NXP Semiconductors Nijmegen, The Netherlands, is seeking a Validation Engineer to develop, execute, and report on system and IC level validation for automotive Car Radio applications. This role blends firmware and hardware verification to ensure reliable releases.

You will define test cases, automate validation environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive robust system validation and documentation.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Experience in semiconductor or automotive industry with focus on system level behavior.
• Good knowledge of software engineering & SDLC.
• Good spoken and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Release product updates at IC and application levels for customer acceptance.
• Define and develop explicit test cases covering IC & system requirements.
• Translate manual lab tests into repeatable automated validation environments linked to test cases and requirements.
• Define and develop embedded FW as part of the system use case validation.
• Support the team with efficient execution of tests and reporting results.
• Actively participate in the system validation team.
• Report on validation progress and issues.
• Define and document system validation use cases and log results in project documentation.
