Job summary

Hudl is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Den Bosch hardware team. You will own the mechanical design and development of next-generation camera hardware for athlete performance tracking, setting the technical direction for the mechanical platform and delivering real-time player tracking solutions.

You will drive system-level requirements, collaborate with electrical, firmware, optics and manufacturing teams, and implement robust testing, validation, and production-ready designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics with eight or more years of hands-on mechanical or electromechanical design experience.
• Experience taking hardware from concept to volume production in consumer electronics, sports tech or optics.
• Deep expertise in 3D CAD like SolidWorks or NX, GD&T, tolerance analysis, structural and thermal analysis, materials selection and sealing principles.
• Manufacturing knowledge across injection molding, CNC machining and sheet metal processes with DFMA.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with understanding of industry standards, regulatory compliance and product development methodologies.
• Exceptional communication and cross-discipline collaboration, willingness to use AI tools to boost engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead camera hardware design from concept through production.
• Set system-level requirements and document mechanical architecture.
• Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies and DFMEA to raise the bar.
• Collaborate with electrical, firmware, optics, product and manufacturing teams to align interfaces and optimize for production.
