Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Eindhoven is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own mechanical solutions across the product lifecycle, from concept to release and support. You will work within a world-class hardware team, focusing on high-tech design in a leading OEM environment.

The role emphasizes taking ownership, strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and driving design verification, risk assessments, and continuous improvement while enabling the path toward Lead Engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of mechanical design and development experience in a high-tech environment.
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary project teams and delivering high-quality design work independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical design activities based on project scope and backlog, translating requirements into engineering solutions.
• Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed designs using CAD tools (Siemens NX).
• Define mechanical components, tools, and systems balancing functionality, manufacturability, safety, cost and lead time.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation for manufacturing and testing.
• Manage engineering data and implement design changes using PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter, SAP).
• Lead design reviews, provide mentorship, and collaborate with Lead Engineers and suppliers.
