Job summary

DENS is seeking a Battery Cell Engineer to drive research direction and test plans for battery cells, translating results into product improvements. You will work with R&D, software and production teams to optimise modules and predict ageing based on measured data.

The role combines hands-on cell characterisation, data analysis in Python, and modelling to guide decisions, with opportunities to grow within a fast‑moving, innovative environment in Helmond.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrochemistry, materials science, chemical, mechanical, electrical engineering or physics.
• Hands-on experience characterising cells and setting up test programmes.
• Experience with data analysis and R&D projects.

Responsibilities

• Define research direction, write test plans and capture in test plans for capacity, lifetime and performance.
• Analyse measurement data to support product improvements.
• Model and simulate cell behaviour to predict ageing and performance.
• Evaluate new cell technologies for applicable use in modules.
• Translate results into improvements across modules, collaborating with R&D, software and production.
